Anna Josephine Holmes Taylor was the oldest of six children to the late Bernest and Stella Holmes on August 2, 1948 in Baytown, Texas.  Anna Jo attended George Washington Carver from 1st-12th grade. She graduated from Lee College with an Associate's degree in Accounting.

Anna Jo had two children from her first husband, Roger Owens of Denver, CO. She later married Colonel Joe R. Taylor, US Air Force. Anna was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. Her family was very important to her and she was the family historian. She had an enormous personality and was the life of any party.

Anna Jo was a member Holy Family Catholic, a member of Knights of Peter Claver, Inc., a charter member of Lady Hazel D. Broussard Chapter 42, 4th Degree Ladies of Grace and other various organizations and committees.

On July 17, 2020 Anna Jo went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Rhonda JaMelle Holmes.

Anna Jo is survived by her children; Traci Owens and Tammi "Shantal" Frazier (Larry). Her siblings; John Bernest Holmes, Benny Holmes, Royce Craig Holmes and Sawana Vaughn, all of Baytown, TX., two grandchildren; Khyrstopher King and Jhasmyne King. Nieces and nephew; Tycie Holmes and Torie Holmes, of Denver, CO. Bengela Holmes, of Baytown, TX. Brandi Holmes and Ryan (Marissa) McGinty, of Houston, TX and Alicia Vaughn, of Baytown, TX.  and host of relatives and close friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Frazier Funeral Home, 7623 Harrison Street, Baytown, Texas.  Viewing begins at 9:00am and service at 10:00am.  Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the practice of social distancing only 10 people allowed in the chapel at a time.
