Carrie Delores was born to Edna Mae Green and the late Jessie Green on August 29, 1950 in McNair, Texas. She was preceded in death by a sister Gwendolyn Joyce Green and a brother Lester James Green. Carrie confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized under the Church of God in Christ leadership; A. L. Cawthon, Sr.

Carrie attended Harlem Elementary, George Washington Carver and was a member of the first graduating class of Ross S. Sterling Class of 1968. Carrie married the late Prentiss Collins, Sr. in August of 1968; 51 years of love and dedication. Carrie retired from the Harris County Health Department after 20 years of service.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving son Prentiss (Jana) Collins Jr. of Houston, Texas, mother Edna T. Green, sister Edna M. Green all of Baytown, Texas; two beautiful granddaughters, Coree Collins of Baytown, Texas and Madison Collins of Houston, Texas; two handsome grandsons, Kaleb Collins and Drew Collins of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
