When the sun rose in Baytown, Texas on September 8, 1947, it brought with it a new day and a new life.  Eluster B. Sims, Jr. Was born to Eluster B. Sims, Sr. And Cora Sims.  He was the 1 st child to this union.

Eluster spent his entire life in Baytown, where he attended Goose Creek ISD schools and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1966.

Eluster was employed and enjoyed a 27-year career with Armco Steel and 26 years at Exxon Mobil where he worked in the Pipeline Division until his retirement.

On July 27, 1969 he married the love of his life Mary L. Davis and to this union three sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Eluster, Sr. and Cora Sims; son: Jason Sims; daughter-in-law: Tammy Sims; brothers: Kenneth Sims, Carl Sims, Glenn Sims; sisters: Rosemary Ford, Brenda Watson.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving and devoted wife of 52 years: Mary Sims; sons: Kelvin Sims (Sharron), Eluster Sims III ( LaShawnda ); adopted daughter: Courtney Wilson;sisters : Linda Sims, Lisa Stevens; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives, nieces, nephews and many friends.
