When the sun rose in Ville Platte, Louisiana on October 17, 1934 it brought with it a new life. Emily Joy was born to the late Mayo Jack and Virginia Frank Jack.

On Monday, November 23, 2020 Joy departed her earthly home and moved to her Heavenly home.

She leaves to cherish his memories to her three children:  Virginia (Lee) Pitre, Cecil (Celeste) Wilson, Cheryl (Walter) Raymond; eight grandchildren:  Kitha, Stacy, Maxine, Janoy, Peter, Ashley, Toby, Tajuana; great-grandchildren:  Chelsie, Brooklyn, Bailye, Riley, Bryce, Aliyah, Jordin; brothers:  Bobby Edwards, Mayo Jack, Jr.;  sisters: Jane Thomas, Faye Williams, Geraldine Carroll, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
