Erroll Varin Garrett Sr. was born on January 30, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio to the proud parents of Joe Louis Garrett and Syphfronia Garrett on their wedding anniversary.  He was the third child born of five to this matrimony.  He accepted Christ at an early age while being a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Girard, Ohio.

The Rayen School is where he graduated high school in Youngstown, Ohio.  He excelled in basketball and was voted most likely to succeed by his classmates in 1979.

Erroll leaves to cherish his memories wife; Agnes Barefield-Garrett, his children; Erroll Varin Garrett Jr., and Shara Deshel Garrett, mother; Syphfronia Garrett  and his siblings; Darrel Garrett (Cheryl), Verretta Garrett, Vernessa Garrett and Valerie Touant (Keith).
