Eva Patricia Bates Broussard was born on February 13, 1953 to George, Sr. and Leola Bates in Baytown, TX.  She spent her formative years in Baytown where she attended Goose Creek public schools.  She was a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School.  She later married Roy R. Broussard and was blessed with 2 sons, Damon and Frederick. Patricia was a faithful member of Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for many years. She loved the Lord and she loved serving the Lord and she loved her church family.

The sun did not set on the life of Eva Patricia Bates- Broussard on December 11, 2020, but rather it shined and danced across the sky.  The chapter of her earthly life came to a close and her Heavenly life began. Patricia was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, and friend to all who will cherish her memories.

Patricia is survived by her son, Frederick Bert Bates (Felicia); brothers, Rev. John L. Bates and Isaac Bates; sister, Mary (Lee) Lewis; step-children, Craig Broussard, John Broussard, Marilyn Broussard, and Demeteria Broussard; grandchildren, Khadijah and Devan Jones;  God-Children, Earl Bundage, Jr., Kimberly Johnson, Selkeita Williams, Justin Williams, Anthony Williams, James Roberts, and Ka'Derrius Williams.  Also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
