Obituary

Kenneth L. Baker was born April 10, 1958, in Bluefield, West Virginia to the union of William and Shirley Baker. He moved to Baytown, TX with his family as a young child.

Kenny departed this life on October 5 th , 2022. He is preceded in death by his father (William Baker), mother (Shirley Baker) and brother (Tommy Baker).

Kenny loved life and God where he accepted Christ as a child as well.  Kenneth graduated from Robert E. Lee high school and completed one year of college from Lee College in Baytown, TX.

He was united in marriage with Cynthia Budwine-Baker in 1996 and lived in Friendswood. He started working as a grocery sacker as a teenager. Kenny fell in love with the grocery business and eventually became the owner of a large grocery store in Hern TX and Baytown, Tx.

He united with Word of Faith Fellowship in 1992 under the leadership of Pastors George and Mary Frazier where he was the music minister/sound system person at Word of Faith. He took care of the yard, and anything that needed to be done at the church. He was an ordained deacon and part of the men's ministry. In 1998 Kenny Baker assisted the pastors in getting their first vehicle.

Afterwards, he owned a flower business where he established clients from Texas to Louisiana. He then started to work at Helfman Ford where he was for over 20 years.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memory a wife (Cynthia Budwine-Baker), one brother Troy Baker (Donna Baker) Fort Smith Arkansas, three daughters Samantha Baker- McClendon(Trey) Baytown, TX, Darcus Sparks ( Adrian)League City, Tx, Jazmine Okuboyejo(Adeyemi)Houston Tx, four grandchildren (Adrian Sparks Jr.), Skiye Sparks, Chloe Okuboyejo and Callie Okuboyejo. Three grand dogs, Micah, Stella and True and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
