Lillie Bennett Thomas was born August 30, 1956 in Waxia, Louisiana to the parents of Peter Bennett Sr. and Marjorie Harris Bennett.

Lillie was the seventh child of her parents thirteen children.

Lillie professed her love for Christ at an early age.  She graduated from Washington High School in 1975.  She went to Grambling State University to obtain her teaching degree.  She taught special needs students and drivers education for 37 years in Goose Creek School District.  She was always teaching inside and outside the classroom.

She loved her family and always made it known by calling to check on them or being present when they needed it the most.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, Lillie departed this life.
