With profound respect, we commemorate the life of Marsha Lynn Holland, who departed this world on June 15, 2026, in Baytown, Texas. Born on December 29, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, Marsha’s journey was marked by a legacy of love, family, and quiet strength.
Marsha was the cherished daughter of Naomi Phillips and Leroy Mackey, Sr., whose guidance and care shaped her early years in San Antonio. Throughout her life, Marsha honored her family’s traditions and values, always keeping her loved ones in her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Leroy Mackey, Jr.(brother), Donald Mackey(brother), and Frankie Mackey Sanders(sister). Their memory remained a source of inspiration and comfort to Marsha throughout her days.
Marsha Lynn Holland leaves behind a circle of family who will forever cherish her presence and the warmth she brought into their lives. She is survived by Labrice Mackey(son), Chantel Holland(daughter), and Gregory W. Mackey, Sr.(brother), each of whom carries forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. Marsha’s commitment to her family was unwavering, and her love was constant—a lasting gift that will endure for generations.
Her life was a tapestry of loyalty, compassion, and resolve. Marsha faced life’s joys and challenges with dignity and humility. The memories shared, the guidance given, and the compassion shown will never be forgotten by those who loved her most.
Friends and family are invited to a Visitation to pay their respects on June 27, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at UNITY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, located at 2625 Broad Street, Baytown, TX 77521. The Funeral Service will follow at the same location from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On June 29, 2026, Marsha will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78234, with a Burial Service at 11:30 a.m.
Though Marsha Lynn Holland’s earthly journey has come to a close, the impact of her life—her steadfast love for family, the lessons she imparted, and the strength she demonstrated—will remain with all who had the privilege to know her. She will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored.
