Obituary

Mary Ann Tripeaux  Williams of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 10, 1930, in the small town of Loreauville, Louisiana, Mary Ann's life was a testament to enduring love, dedication, and wisdom.

Mary Ann attended the public schools in her hometown of Loreauville, where the foundations of her rich and nurturing spirit were laid. Later in life, she dedicated many years of service as a custodian at Goose Creek CISD, contributing quietly and diligently to the community that she came to call home. Her work was marked by a strong commitment and a humble heart, reflecting the values she held dear throughout her life.

Beyond her professional life, Mary Ann's true joy came from her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, imparting love and wisdom that would shape their lives forever. Through her gentle guidance and warm presence, she created a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her best.

She was married to Leon Williams Sr., who preceded her in death, as did their son, Leon Williams Jr. Though their absence is deeply felt, Mary Ann's memory lives on vibrantly through the family she built and nurtured.

Mary Ann is lovingly remembered by her surviving children: daughters Vanessa Williams, Vivian Williams, and Karen Shipley, as well as sons Dennis Williams and Grady Williams. Their lives are a living tribute to the strength and kindness of their mother.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Mary Ann's life at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 7122 Whiting Rock Street in Baytown, TX, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The day will begin with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., followed by a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., offering a solemn and heartfelt farewell. Following this, Mary Ann will be laid to rest at San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Houston, TX, with burial services commencing at 1:00 p.m. An additional gathering will take place back at Holy Family Catholic Church at 1:45 p.m., providing an opportunity for further remembrance and reflection.

Mary Ann's life was one of quiet strength and deep compassion. Her legacy is woven through the hearts of her children and the generations that follow, a beacon of unconditional love and enduring faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains ever present—an eternal source of comfort and inspiration.

As we say goodbye to Mary Ann Williams, we hold close the memories of a woman whose gentle love shaped so many lives. Her journey may have ended, but her story will always be told in the laughter, the lessons, and the loving hearts she leaves behind.
