October 19, 1961 – May 13, 2022
"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.
So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord."
Romans 14:8
Nanette Lewis-Marks was born in Baytown, Texas on October 19, 1961 to J. C. Lewis, Sr. and Lillie Bell Lewis.
Her parents raised her to be God fearing and to always have faith in God. Nanette attended Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she was baptized as a youth. She later became a member of the Windsor Village Church Family.
She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1980. She later attended the University of Houston and earned an associate degree in Paralegal Studies.
Nanette was employed with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where she retired after working for more than 30 years.
