Ora Bryant Arceneaux was born on September 23, 1931 to George and Louise Jefferson Bryant.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to John Alton Arceneaux, Sr.  She went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2021 at Houston Methodist Hospital—Baytown, Texas.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.  She was very active in her church and community.

Ora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Reginald, grandchildren; Roslyn Arceneaux-Simpson, Derek J. Burris, Sr., and Quincy J. Thomas, great-grandson, Jacob Brookins, great great-grandson, Derek Burris, III, and her siblings; George J. Bryant, Jewel Bryant-Recard, and John D. Bryant.  Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Regina Arceneaux (Dr./Lt. Col Reginald) Eggleston, her son, John A. (Adline) Arceneaux, Jr., daughter, Debora Arceneaux-Thomas, six grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 10 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Special friends:   Mrs. Frances LaDay and Mrs. Lena Carrier.
