Obituary

Paul Dallas Broussard was born on March 1, 1932, to Stanley and Mary Gertrude Broussard, both deceased, in the Eastgate community of Dayton, Texas.  Then at the age of 10, moved to the McNair community with his parents and siblings.

Paul attended school in the Goose Creek School District in Baytown, Texas.  After graduating from Carver High School, he attended Texas Southern University for a year.  Paul decided to join the Army in 1953 to serve his country.  He severed during the Korean War for 2 years and received an honorable discharge in 1955.  After leaving the Army, he returned to Texas to continue his education at Texas Southern majoring in Pharmacy.

After receiving his degree Paul moved to St. Louis, Missouri.  Paul felt the opprtunities were better there for a black man than in Texas.  In St. Louis Paul became a Board-Certified Pharmacist.  Paul was a business and community leader, opening his own pharmacy and seafood market.

Paul married and to that union was born three children.  Paul enjoyed, dancing, cooking, hunting, fishing, music and most of all playing golf.  Paul was a faithful catholic and a life member of the Royal Vagabonds, Inc., a Black Male Professional Organization.

Paul is preceded in death by his siblings Maretha (Edmond), Stanley, Jr. (Francis), and John Leroy (Burnia.  Paul is survived by his three children; Roch and Chad of St. Louis, Missouri and Mark (Terri) of Las Vegas, Nevada, four grandchildren; Damien, Jhenna, Raven and Haley and five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
