Obituary

Ralph Mundy was born in Maynolia, Texas on March 15, 1946 to the late Bernice McCray Powell and the late Earl Monday.  He spent his early life here as a Baytownian at the age of 18 he was drafted in the United States Army in 1967.  Ralph Munday Specialist Four 84 of the Army, Company A 3rd Battalion 21st Infantry, 19th Infantry.  Ralph fought for America in the Republic of Vietnam, there he was severely wounded in 1968. Ralph Mundy was awarded with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device.  Ralph Mundy was a "Vietnam War her hero"! He returned home to his family in Baytown where he started his favorite hobby as a mechanic  and restoring old cars.

He leaves to mourn his homegoing: brother and sister-in-laws: Leroy Monday (Gwen); Thomas Monday (Charlene), Michael Powell (Mary Motton), Ronnie Powell of Sacramento, CA., Gary McCardle of Houston, Texas.  Sisters: Connie Atkins, Debra Powell, Kimberly Powell all of Baytown, Texas, the late Sheryl Thompson and Martha Ruth Monday.  Ralph has a host of nieces, nephew and cousins.
