Roxy Ann Watson was born on March 2, 1972 to the late Aaron and Susie Simon. Her step-parents include the late European and Rosie Simon and Eva Richardson. She was born in Houston, Texas. Roxy attended school in Hammond, Louisiana.

Roxy met her husband Emmeal in Houston and they were married for 27 years.

Roxy  loved God and her family. She was loving and always took care of those she met. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was very spiritual and used her gift to cook and feed others.

Roxy loved spending time with children and the elderly. She also loved outdoor activities.

She fought her battle with cancer bravely and her faith never wavered. She was called from the fleshy battle to the spiritual one on September 14, 2021 at 5:02pm she was surrounded by her husband and family.

She was preceded in death by Erica Nelams, Jimmy Simon, Stanley Jones, Gloria Bell, Aaron Brooks and Emmeal Watson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Emmeal Watson III; children: Laquiche Watson, Dexter Simon, Desiree Simon, David Hopson IV, Emmeal Watson IV, Kwentisha Watson, Quineasha Watson; grandchildren: Nevaeh, Cheyenne, Dexter Jr., Audriana, Aubriana Simon (Tisha), Zaryah, Desarian Cartwright, Jaelynn, Keaon Simon (Monica), Kaydynce, Denim, Kayden Simon, Tamia, Tia, Daniel Simon, Delilah, Harmony, Jamyah Watson (Nesha); sisters: Chaman Richardson, Detra Patterson, Joanna Baldwin, Ruby Rivera (John), Queeneather Schoffield (Jamaal); brothers: Stevie Simon, Deantre Williams; Bryant Ashton; brother in laws: Reggie Smith, Gary Scott, Tim and Anthony Watson; sister in laws: Tina, Monica, Gina Watson; niece and nephews: Eboni Patterson, Andrea Ashton Jr, Aaroni, Andrevia Ashton, Nathaniel Combs, Alexus, Kyra, Eric, Erica Scott, Jordan, Jay Rivera, Quintaraia Williams, Tamera Watson, Qveon Simon, Qdarius Williams.
