Royce Craig Holmes, a dedicated and valued member of the Baytown community, passed away on May 4, 2026, in his hometown of Baytown, Texas. Born on August 4, 1956, Royce lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a passion for sports and fishing that enriched his days.

A proud graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown, Royce went on to dedicate over twenty years of his career as a Plant Operator at Frito Lay. His commitment and professionalism were highly regarded by his colleagues and those who knew him in his professional circle.

Royce’s life was deeply rooted in the community where he was born and raised. He is remembered fondly for his amiable personality and love of outdoor pursuits, with sports and fishing being among his cherished pastimes. Those who spent time with Royce will recall his enthusiasm and the joy he found in these activities.

He is survived by loving siblings: Benny Holmes and John "JB" Holmes, and his sister Sawana Vaughn. Royce’s legacy continues through his nieces and nephews: Traci Owens, Shantal Frazier - Larry, Bengela Holmes, Brandi Holmes Denison - Josh, Ryan McGinty - Marissa, Alicia Vaughn, Tyice Holmes, Tori Holmes, and Patrick Lewis, who hold treasured memories of their uncle’s warmth, kindness, and support.

Royce was preceded in death by his father, Bernest Holmes, his mother, Stella Narcisse Holmes, and his sisters, Anna Jo Taylor and Rhonda Jamelle Holmes. Their memories remain a guiding light for the family.

Visitation will be held on May 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, followed immediately by a Rosary at 9:45 AM, a Mass at 10:00 AM, all taking place at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 7122 Whiting Rock Street, Baytown, TX. Following the service, the burial will commence at 11:45 AM at St. Martin/Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, 503 FM 1942, Crosby, TX.

Royce Craig Holmes will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew him. His enduring commitment to family, community, and his profession leave a lasting imprint that will continue to inspire those who were privileged to know him.
