October 16, 1918 – March 3, 2024
Siamon Gordon, a long-time pillar of LaPorte, Texas passed peacefully at his home on March 3, 2024; he was 105 years young. He was born October 16, 1918 in Greensburg, Louisiana to parents Thomas C. Gordon and Marthia Lillian Crier Gordon. Important impacts during his formative years was the spirituality of growing up in a faith based environment with the family love and fun that comes with having nine wonderful siblings - all preceded him in death.
Siamon was married to Helen Boozer Gordon for over 50 years; their union was blessed with four boys and two girls. Roy Lee Howard, James Dwight Gordon, Tanya Gail Gordon-all preceded in death; Benny Lynn Gordon, Thomas Wayne Gordon, and Constance Noel Gordon. Siamon often expressed happiness with having additional daughters through marriage-Noella Stiner Gordon and Bessie Cox Gordon. Family growth continued to include 16 grandkids and 25 great grandkids.
Siamon was a long-time employee of Dupont Chemical Baytown Plant; and actively supported LaPorte ISD Athletics and the LaPorte Civic Club. He was a loyal and active member of St. Marks United Methodist Church for over 70 years.
Concern due to expected inclement weather on Saturday, 3/16/2024 has increased tremendously, heavy rain (90%) and high winds. In anticipation of this, Siamon's funeral services and repass celebration has been moved to Word of Faith Family Christian Center, 9556 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
