Stephanie Jadisha
Baptiste
December 23, 1992 – July 13, 2020
Stephanie Jadisha Baptiste (12/23/1992 - July 13, 2020) was born on the island of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands to Rachel Baptiste and Alvin George. Stephanie moved to Baytown in her childhood years and graduated from Sterling High School in 2011.
Stephanie was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was especially known for her infectious and contagious laughter. Stephanie walked with her head held high and respected those around her. She loved her job as an employee at Aetna Insurance and gave it her all. Stephanie was a kind hearted person who loved and accepted others for who they were and lived out the scripture of loving your neighbor as yourself. Her hospitality for others did not go unnoticed. She was known as the "errand runner" and never turned down the opportunity to serve others. She was a supportive person and wise beyond her years.
As a teen, Stephanie attended and was confirmed at Trinity Episcopal Church in Baytown and served as an usher.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandfather Titre Griffin Baptiste. She is survived by her mother Rachel Baptiste, father Alvin George; grandmother Anna Pascal (Rosaris Pascal); grandfather Selvin George; siblings Nikki Pascal, Syerice Baptiste, Mirard Laurent, Shamar Mohammmed and Markael; niece Nairee Merrill; aunt Esther Hodge (Ethan Hodge), Pertrice Baptiste; uncle Wayne Baptiste; great uncle Emile Jno-Hope (Virginia Jno-Hope); cousins Symonique Hodge, Khalil Hodge (Kyrie Hodge); Verlyn Jno-Hope; other family members in St. Croix and Dominica-to numerous to mention, but no less loved.
Stephanie was a joy to her family members and friends who loved her dearly. We are eternally grateful to the Most High for the 27 years spent with her, although it was not enough time for us. The impact she had on our lives will be forever etched in our memories. With humble and grateful hearts, we surrender to Elohim's higher purpose - "for His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9). We are grateful that her spirit has returned to her Maker, the Father of all Spirits (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Rest Eternally Steph! We love you!
