In Baytown, Texas on the blessed day of October 09, 1958, Terry Lynn Mathis Frank , affectionately known as "Terry", was born the 5 ^th of five children to Ruby and Nathaniel Mathis, Sr.

Terry loved God, her children, family, friends and her music which was her passion. She would play from dusk to dawn for herself and anyone around. She passed the love of music on to her children as well.

Terry departed this earthly life at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2020.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents: Nathaniel and Ruby Mathis, Sr., Billy C. Mathis, Sr. (brother), Frank Mathis (brother), and Nathaniel Mathis, Jr. (brother).

She leaves to cherish her memories: Sons: Christopher Mathis, Sr., and Clarence Frank, Jr., three granddaughters: Chrishona Mathis, Brittany Mathis and Briana Fontenot,  grandson: Christopher Mathis, Jr., two great-grandsons: Marquis and Ozais, sister: Pamela Kaye Smith and two goddaughters: Tasha Frank and Kerry McCoy and a special sister Sarah Landry. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
