Thomas W. Lattimore, a dedicated welder and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in Baytown, Texas. Born on May 20, 1968, in Waco, Texas, Thomas lived a life marked by hard work, deep connections, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys found in the company of loved ones.
A proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, class of 1986, Thomas pursued vocational welding—a skill and passion that would define much of his professional life. He began his career with Entex Gas Company, which later became CenterPoint Energy, where he worked diligently for many years as a welder. Thomas took great pride in mastering his craft, considering this achievement among his most significant accomplishments. His commitment to excellence and perseverance in his trade earned him respect among his peers and satisfaction in his work.
Thomas’s personality was as warm as the flames he expertly handled. He treasured the essence of life, finding delight in sharing good meals and heartfelt conversations with close family and friends. Often, these gatherings were enriched by his enjoyment of adult beverages, reflecting his love for camaraderie and connection. His presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, making these moments memorable.
He is survived by his loving family, including Kamron Lattimore (Ashley), Christopher Lattimore, Johnathan Lattimore, his nephews and Lynette Lattimore, his niece, along with a host of other family members and friends who will carry forward his memory with affection and reverence. Thomas’s life was shaped by the foundations laid by his parents, Wilis "Billy" Lattimore and Are Mae Chatmon Lattimore, who preceded him in death, as did his sister, Nancy Lattimore.
Thomas W. Lattimore’s legacy is one of craftsmanship, familial devotion, and the simple yet profound joy of companionship. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him, and his contributions to his trade and community stand as a testament to a life well-lived. May he rest in peace.
