Tressia Faye Payne was born on January 12, 1956, in Concord, Texas, to Curtis and Mary D. Nickerson. She departed this life on Monday, January 18, 2021, at her home in Houston, Texas.

Tressia Faye married Charles N. Meullion on February 6, 1976, and from this union, they had two boys, Patrick Keith Meullion and Donathon Meullion. From a young age, Tressia Faye always loved doing hair, so she took her passion and went on to attend beauty college, where she obtained her cosmetology license. She was a beautician for over 25+ years; she worked at Frazier Funeral Home for the last ten years as the beautician for all the clients that needed their hair done.  A job she truly enjoyed.

Although she was an expert in her field,  her second true love was preparing flowers for various events. She had an eye for floral arrangements like no other. She prepared flowers for Frazier Funeral Home for the past 10 years, helping prepare the funerals' floral arrangements. Tressia Faye was a member of Word of Faith Family Christian Center for the last ten years under the leadership of George and Mary Frazier. Tressia Faye was known for opening her home to friends and family. She showed her love for others through her cooking. She loved to laugh and dance, and you could always find her on the dance floor with a smile on her face. Tressia Faye opened her home to whoever needed it, providing him or her with a meal and a place to call home. Her house was a favorite to many because the door was always opened, and you could always smell a freshly cooked meal.  Tressia was also known for her many hats.  You could find her on the front seat of church wearing one of her stylist hats; every Sunday.  She, would not be Tressia, without her smile and a hat to complete her outfit.

In or about 2000, she met the love of her life, Thomas Payne. On February 9, 2019, she not only married her best friend but the man, as she would say, "treated her like a queen."

Tressia Faye is preceded in death by her Mother and Father Curtis & Mary D. Nickerson. Her brother Clennis D. Nickerson & her sister Sharon Owens. She leaves to cherish her memory her spouse, Thomas Payne, her sons Patrick K. Meullion and Donathon Meullion, and his wife, Darneltra Douglas. Her wonderful grandkids: Travis, Trace, Daijah, Devin, Dorian, D'Briana. Sister-n- law, Sharon, niece and nephew Jamal & Jasmine, and a host of cousins and close friends.
