Verdie Hill was born on November 22, 1938 in Beaumont, Texas to the late George Nobles of Alabama and Buelah Mills of Florida. She lived in Jasper, Texas before coming to Baytown. She was married to the late Ray Hill Jr., for over 40 years.
Verdie, love and hold special to her heart her nephews Lee Roy Smith, Freddie Smith also her nieces Beulah Haynes, Lena Smith, Willow Smith, Rosemary Hardin, Deborah Prophet and their respective families.
Verdie, worked at home and other domestic jobs for many years and Goose Creek I.S.D. for over 20 years, she had a saying "if the job look good to you it will look good to others, but it better look good to you."
Verdie, loved her neighbors and especially the church family. She attended Mt. Rose C.O.G.I.C for many years. She loved to sing older church hymns, melodies and listen to the bible. Verdie, was faithful in praying. She was willing to share her encounters with God and how He was always there for her. Verdie, hobbies were to care for her planted trees and garden.
Verdie Hill was preceded in death by husband Ray Hill Jr., sister: Rosie Lee Smith George, nephews: Cleo and Charles Smith. Verdie, leaves to mourn her sons: Robert Nobles, Tony Nobles, Justin Nobles and daughters: Rose Scott, Perina Butler, Belinda Nobles and Annette Nobles, eleven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
