Winfred H. "Winnie" Davis received his "angel wings" on Saturday, April 24, 2021—the same day of his 66 ^th birthday. Winnie was born on April 24, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to loving parents Clarence and Ruby Davis.

He graduated from Ross Sterling High School in Baytown.  His work journey led him to employment at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana and in later years to various construction jobs locally.

Winnie was a "free spirit" and avid walker who made endearing connections with family, friends, and strangers.  He enjoyed sharing lively conversations with people throughout the Baytown community.  In his early adult years, Winnie was even known to share his car with hitchhikers.  Winnie loved people indiscriminately.

Winfred H. "Winnie" Davis is survived by his loving mother Ruby Davis of Baytown, TX; his brother Donnell Davis (Mary) of Seabrook, Texas, and sister Wanda Davis Motte of Baytown. Nieces and nephews, Stephanie Chenevert, David Chenevert, Jr., Terri Thomas (Bert), Ryan Thomas, Briana Madox, Karter Madox, and Porsha Melcher.  He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Davis and sister Terry Renty.

Additionally, many aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends mourn the loss of Winnie and will forever miss his warm, gentle, and kind spirit.
